Specific rules for developers using the JunkMail API.
API Terms of Use
Last Updated: December 29, 2025
By accessing the JunkMail Application Programming Interface ("API"), you agree to these API Terms in addition to our main Terms of Service.
1. Access & Keys
- You may need an API Key to access certain endpoints.
- Secrecy: You are responsible for keeping your API Key secure. Do not commit it to public repositories (GitHub, etc.).
- Revocation: We may revoke your API Key at any time if we detect abuse.
2. Usage Limits (Rate Limiting)
- We enforce rate limits to ensure stability for all users.
- Current limits are documented in the API Reference.
- Attempting to bypass these limits (e.g., rotating IPs) is a violation of these terms.
3. Permitted Use
- You may use the API to integrate disposable email functionality into your own applications, scripts, or testing suites (QA).
- You may display data retrieved from the API in your application.
4. Prohibited Use
- No Whitelabeling: You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the JunkMail API as a standalone "Disposable Email Service" competing directly with JunkMail, without a commercial partnership agreement.
- No Account Creation Bots: You may not use the API to automate the mass creation of accounts on third-party platforms (Social Media, Streaming, etc.) in violation of their Terms.
- No Spam: Using the API to automate spam sending or forwarding is strictly prohibited.
5. Attribution
If you use our Free Tier API in a public-facing application, you must provide visible credit to JunkMail (e.g., "Powered by JunkMail").
6. Changes to the API
We may modify, deprecate, or discontinue any API endpoint at any time. We will try to provide reasonable notice for breaking changes via our changelog.
